I got quite a few questions on this and got pulled aside by a couple refs last year, and lost some game time because of this.

I have a milsim body kit on my Tippmann, so many mods, that only the valve, bolts, and grip are still Tippmann parts. This still counts as a Tippmann right?

In my opinion, as long as it has "Tippmann" on the side of it, it's a Tippmann marker.

So by that thinking then, if i out a Tippmann sticker on the side of my mini or geo it's a Tippmann?
I don't think so.

As for the marker in question, if it started out Tippmann, it's a Tippmann. IMO.

Yeah, I have an MK5. Its a whole new body, but Tippmann powertube, bolts, and grip.

I only asked because I lost about an hour of playtime last year because the refs kept stopping me, thinking I was on the wrong team.

My interpretation, and I believe this is also what I've been told, is as long as the gun started out as a Tippmann, meaning the underlying marker was manufactured by Tippmann, then it is considered a Tippmann.

gotta give the refs a bit of room on this.....if the gun is modded to the nine's it might take a few minutes to verify.
