Battle Tac is a system for tracking your team mates on the field. They have a Beta version available for smart phones so I added a location and trail map for Hell's and got it accepted.
You have to create an account on their website (battletac.com) then go to the website they direct you to on your phone. From there you save it to your phones desktop and it will essentially turn it into an app. Has a built in radio function too.
For the record I do not work for or have no relation to this company, I just thought it was cool. I'm sure it's going to be slow on 3g but still kinda need a neat aspect to the game.
PS: I have an idea to mount an iphone or ipod onto a marker for about $30. There is a mount available for $100 but I'd be willing share my idea, just PM me.

i will look into this asap. im kinda thinking it would be gps not 3g and being outside like that i think the signal should be pretty good. :thumbs up:

Ok, account created, "App installed", how do I get Hell's trail map. When I touch the compass, it tries to find my location (IN) and can't (i figured it didn't work anyway). Thanks for finding and posting this BTW!

If you are hell it will show the map that was made fit it on your mobile device. I actually looked at it and it seems to look like this system mite work well if multiple people on your team have it

Almost any smart phone can run this. Android, windows 7 phones, and also iPhones can run it.

Ya it will run on a lot of stuff. I THINK if you preload the maps it will work on GPS but if not then they are ran off wifi/3G. I'm going to try and preload them and see how it works.
The map I made isn't the best but it should work to try it out anyways. The process to make a map is a HUGE pain in the butt. I spent probably 4 hours doing it in photoshop. Once you get it done, you have to crunch the map using special software and stuff. If it doesn't line up right, back to square one, lol.
To see the map, you have to zoom in to the actual area where hells is at. I may end up doing a couple other fields eventually too, but unless I'm getting some free play, I don't think I'm gonna spend a ton of time doing them, lol.
