I don't mind letting people know when we play good. Numbers in our favor or not. I can only speak for myself and I didn't have any circumstances of poor sportmanship this year unlike the incident we encountered last year. I did have a heated disscussion with a colonel I shot when I dropped off the airplane, but we talked it out off the field and I think it ended much better when he realized the only person I shot was him and his young daughter and another kid shot the living heck out of my backside. Also kudos to the chap in the top of the highlands who graciously helped me (who was shooting at him) try to call for a paint check on myself after he thought he hit me. It was splatter, but we both yelled for the check and stopped shooting while I waited for the ref to wander my way. Till next year......... Chris |

Yep I saw you also. The dreads were different, but interesting. I don't think the outfit allowed for much sneaking, but it was neat to see you trying with the bow. Good for you and it's good to hear your not made of glass and comments don't ruin a weekend. People say what they want, but if you can have fun no matter what that is all that matters. |

Sounds fishy......................Last year we found a Tippman player hatching out the same plan to help them win. They had a non tippman gun and a world col. tag that a friend (ref in play) from tippman team had decided to double punch. These circumstances just sound too similiar. I think everyone who played both days realizes the world team for the third year in a row handed you your ---. Oh well congrats Tippman. Just cause I think you tippy players heard it alot while you were being over run here it is again........FFFUUUUBBBAAARRRRRR!!!!!!!!! |

It was a great time and people left with a little knowledge and a some great prizes. Thanks to everyone who attended. Thanks also to Andy and Angel who put the event on with Masskickers and all the sponsors. The sponsors........Holy prizes and food what an event. Attendance was lower than expected, but anyone who came had a great time. Thanks also to my teammates for helping with the event and helping with anything they could. FUUUUBBBAAAAARRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mechanic, you did a great job helping the kids and that gauntlet got a little out of hand didn't it? Those slides through the X got me soaked from head to toe, but to watch those kids that might not have shot anyone all day shoot us was great to see. You, Mike and all of us who ran made those kids day running back and forth getting shot. Clown guy whoever you are thanks also for all the toys your daughters handed out it lightened the mood it the cozy tent we all crammed into for lunch. I was so impressed all day by the generosity of the crowd we did have. I watched the lunchtime raffle and I couldn't believe the prizes, but most impressive was the redistribution of them. If an adult won a prize most times I watched as they either redonated it or handed it to a kid. It was contagious. Great job Scott on giving that kid a hopper who won the gun. It was a gravity feed, but you would have thought you handed him a Halo or something by the smile and thank you his father and him gave. Lastly, but not least thanks to Dave, Ed and Hell Surviviors they were a great host and the refs who suffered through the rain were great also. Thanks to anyone I forgot who I'm sure helped or did something generous. I can't wait to do this event again next year. |

Here's the update I can give, but notice there are still a lot of shoulds and coulds included in this update: I've heard pre-registration is low, but on site registration should be high from everything we have heard. This event needs support from anyone and everyone who can give it on Saturday. The projected participation is between 50 and 150. Andy and the staff at the field have worked hard and they have 40 sponsored spots for cancer survivors. Andy has also gotten prizes and what not from various places like Exotic spotz, TCP paintball, Greg Hastings, and many stores like Meijers, Buschs, Wall mart, and what not. So the overall event should have lots of prizes, food, t-shirts and other stuff. Now we just need people to show up to support the cause and the event. As far as media coverage I heard the radio media has been notified and I guess they should be talking about it on 101 WRIF friday and one of the morning crew should be out on saturday although I don't think it will be Drew or Mike it should be either Mike or Mark (if you know the show you'll know who they are). I'm not sure about TV media. I guess the detroit news might also come out. If you want or can get in touch with more media to expand the coverage by all means get on it, please. I belive the hope is to have enough participation to make this a yearly event and maybe some day make it a big game or a monster type game with a new format. For now we are just hoping people show up like they said they would. From my postings you might understand I'm not the organizer so I can't say exactly what is or isn't occuring, but I have a good idea. The big picture is this-- a lot of people have worked very hard for this to be a great event and a lot of kids and adults affected by cancer are counting on us to support the cause. So, saturday grab every friend you have and get to the field. I know I'll be there with my entire family, not just to maybe play some paintball, but to lend my support to a cause that affects everyone. See everyone Saturday, sorry about the soap box. |

Mech, Andy is in charge of this, but I'm sure we could always use more people to help with stuff. He told me last week it would be better if people played, but if you can't play then sure bring your family and friends (or just yourself) down and help with whatever you can. When you get there come find me and I'll introduce you to Andy and we'll find something that you can do to help. My name is Chris. My FUBAR jersey says CM. I should be down there around 9:00 am I believe. Just ask around for Chris or Andy from FUBAR and someone will know one of us. Oh, I just thought of something.......Bring your mask in case they need refs. Not sure if they do, but there never seems to be enough of them. Thanks for the help. |

After seeing the reaction you got at monster Narf you might have something there........ It seems for some strange and sadistic reason I have had more people want to run the course than people who want to shoot the course. I guess more people like me don't really care about being shot for a good cause. We'll see what the turn out is. Maybe if not many people want to pay then we will have the sponsored players (Cancer survivors) shoot everyone who dare enter the course.............I'm sure they will enjoy that. Especially the ones who don't want to be shot at. |

So here is my idea. At the lunch break anyone who wants to participate will need to be at the speedball field. For the simple fee of $5/person we will line the outside of the field with people wanting to shoot me. At the sound of a horn or whatever we can find I'll run a designated course through the bunkers unarmed kind of like a rabbit. During that time people will unload there hoppers on me. This venture will provide the people in the crowd who wanted to donate, but didn't yet, a chance to donate. Also it will allow the cancer survivors who can't physically play in the event a chance to shoot a moving target (ME). All the money will go directly to the benefit. So as I keep saying everyone bring an extra $5 it would be sweet to see 100 people line up and shoot the rabbit. That would be a nice donation to this cause. Maybe I'll fing a tail and some ears. |

That is our sponsor and word is they might not be at the Tippman challenge either. I guess they have another event (castle conquest) that is on the same day. If I hear anything different I'll post it. If you need a Smart parts gun tech'd we have a few certified techs on our team just stop by the FUBAR tent. If those guys who tech are not around then maybe we can point you in the right dirrection. |

Great. Bring a few friends. I was looking at the speedball field this past weekend and I think the best way to do it will be to run a predetermined course through the bunkers. That way I guess I'll play rabbit and everyone can shoot. The other idea we thought of was to have the people shooting in the middle by the bunkers then I'll run the side line. We'll come up with something so everyone gets there $5 bucks worth. See you there. |

I agree the ref staff did a great job overall. I would personally like to thank the Alpha dogs, World Police, Rag tag and every other organized paintball team that was at this event. I saw a ton of great sportsmanship and a lot of explaining the rules, helping with jacked up guns and on field paint checks. Till the next battle. FUUUBAARRRRRRR!!!!! |

You don't need to run it with me, but bring some friends to come and pay to shoot while I run. God knows a few bruises to raise money won't hurt either. If we get enough people to pay then maybe I'll be ballsy enough to run both ways. That way both sides get covered. |

I've volunteered to run a gauntlet at the Tumor benefit. The goal is to raise money for tumor research. For a $5 donation you can join the firing line and shoot me while I run a gauntlet in the speedball arena. Again the goal is to make lots of money for research. It would be sweat to see 100 people line up and shoot while I run the length of the speedball field. That would be $500 for the benefit all going to research. So come join in the massacre the more the merrier. |
