TO: The tippmann team dear all tippmann players, i apolagize ahead of time....death is upon you all, no mercy will be given to any. the echos in the woods have always been there, but for this one weekend you will see the power of the world. we will not only win but i asure of you all this will be a nice margin, this year is the year for the world team. this time is the time the world speeks. this is our war, we have people from the other side of the country, our fire power will destroy all in its path , and you tippmann players are going to recieve one of the BEST whoopins you have EVER got!!!! -with love- WORLD TEAM As someone who suffered 8 years on the world team until Tippmann started making a pistol(They joined MY team, so I joined their team), I wish I could be there to help Tippmann spank the world team again! My brother is getting married in the UP that weekend. One thing I always remembered during those years that I played on the world team is that, regardless of who wins the game, all the glory goes to Tippmann anyway. Tippmann is why the game is there. Because they had the gonads to challenge the rest of the world 12 years ago and keep on doing it every year since. Where's the Eclipse VS the world game at? Where can I go to play the Dangerous Power VS the world game? Hell Survivors is what it is because Tippmann, even in it's current corporate state, outdoes all of those companies that make the markers of the world team at GIVING BACK. How many years have we played the Tippmann sponsored Global Conquest games? The Tippmann sponsored Monster Game is older than alot of the players who will take the field this year! How many World players will use the Tippmann quick-fill CO2 tanks, developed for Hell Survivors? Have any of those other companies stepped up to sponsor the Day of the Rangers scenario game? NO, HS, Deacon and Delta Ops are still doing it all on their voluntary lonesome. Remember World team, we want you to play hard! The Tippmann team hasn't had a challenge at all until the last few years, when all these johnny come lately companies suddenly decided to be about woodsball. We handed you a 1,000 point beating last year too! Fight, world team, for the glory of Tippmann! JUST THINK, if the world team were to win(not happening), it would bring their total up to an unimpressive 3 wins, 9 losses! I expect the results will show 2 wins, 10 losses instead! Seriously though, I will miss getting to see all my old friends and miss just as much getting to make new ones! I was so looking forward to trying myself out against the Gunmen! Rob |

As the red team's Vice-General on Saturday, I wanted to say thanks to the red team for their great play and cooperation throughout the day. Noone got down when we were three hundred down at lunch and through your hard play we were(roughly) 900 some ahead by the end of the day! Narf as always, was the one-man army. My name for him is Don Quixote, I literally saw him tilt at a windmill. Great Play Red!!! Rob |

I Think it's likely he's been here before, how much specific field knowledge is required for good Generaling is a question. I talked to Psychomom at the 06 Monster game, so she's seen some of the changes... Rob |

Indeed a good general, a worthy adversary and a great person. I don't know her well(I was quite antisocial in those days if you can believe it), but I always admired the way she rolled. She will not only bring her own skills to the table, but attract extra talent that will add up to several hundred years of paintball experience. An honor to play against her again!!!!! Who's our red general? Rob |

Since you're BOTH my buddies, I would point out to you that one HUGE thing changed at HS that made this a factor worth considering. The deployment of our Nat Guard helpers to Iraq and the disappearance of the truck inserts. The green zone was not an issue because people were getting on trucks all weekend and riding to the back of the field. Like pulling your own bag VS playing golf with a cart, people can no longer casually insert to Archie or Bravo. This makes the hot inserts a factor that they never were before. No one spawn camped, because the truck would ride past them. Then the truckful of people would come back and fix the problem. Rob |

I dont see the big deal really, its part of the game. This reminds me of people complaining when playing video games that some tactic, or something about the game isnt fair. Of course it is fair, it is part of the game. The fact that HS is having Delta Ops be the peace corps means it is NO LONGER part of the game. So by your logic there is no reason whatsoever for you to object. NOT spawn camping is now part of the game, so why are you complaining? You are thinking about paintball like it's a cheezy xbox game set in stone. Team numbers are adjusted all the time as well as other changes on the fly, to make the game funner for the majority. One person's dedication to spawn camping(a despicable practice) cannot be allowed to lower the fun level for many who paid the same money. Think of it more as a PC game, when there are exploits in PC games that were not intended or desired by the designers, they get patches to cover or remove them. I play Battlefield 2142 and this happens all the time, in the few years that game has been out I've uploaded 7 or 8 patches. The people who complain about the removal of the exploits are generally suspected of riding them like ponies due to lack of general skill. I know this is not the case with you Nav, so I suspect you just like being contrary 'Fair' has nothing to do with it, it's a simple matter of HS wanting good people to come back again to spend more money. When you let your games encourage spawn camping, you eventually end up with a parking lot full of spawn campers as honest, honorable players will go somewhere else. That's why for 24 years now, I've been driving past numerous other fields to get to Hell Survivors, they encourage honest and fair play in the rulebook as well as on the field. I could list the 20 or so fields I've watched go out of business and describe in detail how they went under. Paintball fields don't go out of business because they charge too much for paintballs and they don't go out of business because they charge too little for paint. They go out of business when people quit going there because it's no fun to play there. Look at Renegade on northline, they let people ref for paint who weren't reffing 'fair'(as you would put it), so good players quit going and under they went. Mom's watched people playing on hit through the netting and left with their kids never to return... The health of the business depends on a majority of the people who come, wanting to come back plain and simple. I'm the poster child for this as a pistols-only player all these years, if I have to shoot someone into submission to get an elimination I'll give my money to someone else. I love HS because they don't let latrine lawyers spoil the general fun. It's also NOT like a video game because your customer base must generally live within driving distance, instead of being worldwide. If you alienate the small pool of michiganders who want to play paintball, it's goodnight, Irene. Rob |

On a serious note just come out and play once a week and you will get noticed by one team or another, Rob as far as i know your affiliated with GLR that might be a reason for not being invited. I think it has alot more to do with my choice of weaponry All kidding aside, the Mercs have as a group been more than friendly to me and I count Walt as a great friend of mine above and beyond paintball. They have even let me go on runs, when their goals and mine were the same. Merc Run I haven't asked and when Walt and I have discussed it, my view has been that it would not be fair to ask them to cover me at $1.00 a second while I change 12grams Merc-friendly, Rob |
